Waynesville-Betty Sue Hill Turner, age 68, of 94 Lariat Loop, died Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Fletcher and Dorothy Hoyle Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald F. Turner, who died in 1993 and a sister, Barbara Ross, who died in 1985. She was a 1954 graduate of Waynesville Township High School and was a retired x-ray technician from Haywood Regional Medical Center with 28 years service. She was a member of East Waynesville Baptist Church for over 30 years and enjoyed meeting monthly with members of her graduating class. She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Smith and her husband, David, and Traci Henline and her husband, Dean, both of Waynesville; two sons, Jeff and Terry Turner, both of Waynesville; a special grandson, Jeremy Turner and his wife, Misty, of Waynesville and four more grandchildren, Lynzie Smith, Whitney Tuft, and Lindsay and Turner Henline; two great grandchildren, Sage Tuft and Madison Turner; one sister, Geri Green and her husband, Donald of Waynesville; and one brother, Gene Hill, of Waynesville. A celebration of her life will be held on her birthday, Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at East Waynesville Baptist Church with Reverend Chan Chandler and Reverend Carl Presnell officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Green, Jeremy Turner, David Smith, Dean Henline, Rodney Lowe, and Gene Hill. Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
