Betty Wall

Betty Henderson Wall, age 80, died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at Canton Christian Convalescent Center. She was native of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Porter and Minnie Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur O. Wall, who died in 1990; a daughter, Rebecca Brooks; four sisters, Nell Bright, Mary Sue Pauley, Minnie Ruth Carr and June Rigsby and a brother, Jack Henderson. Betty was an elder at the Canton Presbyterian Church, helped with Meals on Wheels, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was retired from American Enka after 20 years of service as a textile worker. She is survived by two daughters, Gaynell Cole and her husband Lynn, and Belinda Cable, both of Canton; a son, Robert Carl Wall and his wife Linda, of Woodbury, NJ; two sisters, Nancy Grubbs of Canton and Judy Corsey of Bridgeton, NJ; a brother, Paul Henderson and his wife, Winfred, of Canton; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a special friend, Edith Cole of Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006, at Canton Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Beverly Brock and Reverend Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will be at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 18 at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
