Beulah Cable

Beulah Wilson Cable, age 83, of the Thickety Community died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at Pisgah Manor Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Sally McGee Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Evan Manus Cable, who died in 1993; a son, Vernon Manus Cable, who died in 2007; and two brothers, Carl and Donald Wilson. She was a loving and devoted wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kind and generous spirit was the heart of her family. Beulah was always excited about her flowers and loved the birds that fed in her yard. She was a Christian and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by a son and his wife, George and Jean Cable of Mooresville, two daughters and their husbands, Gail and Johnny Rose and Terry and Carl Pace all of Canton; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Cable of Pinehurst; a sister, Hazel Edwards; a special daughter and her husband, Sharon and Mike Maxwell of Canton; a sister-in-law, Clara Wilson of Canton; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Bruce Cayton and Reverend James Parham officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park in Candler. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
