Beulah Page

Waynesville, Beulah Shetley Page, age 91, died on Thursday, September 30, 2010. A native of Cocke County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Americus J. and Maude Rowland Shetley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hillard Page, who died in 1973, three brothers, Leo, Carter and Ray Shetley, Sr. and two sisters, Lois Franklin and Aona Shetley. Beulah was employed by several restaurants in Haywood County including Jim's Drive-In and Midway Bowling Alley as a cook. She was a member of Allens Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters, Jackie Goodson of Palatka, FL, Juanita Cook and Janice Ford (Van) of Waynesville; Jeaneal Whitted of Canton; two sisters, Beatrice Haney of Union, SC and Bertie Chapel of Grand Rapids, MI; three brothers, Willie, Gene, and A. J. Shetley, all of Union, SC; 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and a special friend Dr. Harry Lipham. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at New Covenant Church. Reverend Karen Morgan and Reverend Tim Pullin will officiate. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Honeycutt, Greg Honeycutt, Roger Cable, Bobby goodson, Allen Henry and Perry Moore. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 486 Marshall St., Waynesville, NC 28786. Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville is in charge of services.
