Canton-Beulah Inman Tyler, age 97, of 34 Spruce Street, died Thursday, April 15, 2004 at her residence.
She was a native of Haywood County where she lived most of her life. She was a daughter of the late James Baxter and Mary Etta Sellars Inman and was the wife of the late Maurice L. Tyler who died in 1990. She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers; Austin, Elmo, Doyle, James and Claude Inman and 2 sisters, Truletta Earnhardt and Thelma Knott. Beulah was a descendent of James Anderson Inman, founder of The Inman Chapel at Lake Logan.
She is survived by one son, Donald Tyler and his wife Martha of Ware Shoals, SC, one brother, Charles Inman and his wife Ruth of Talco, TX, 4 grandchildren, Charles Tyler of Watkinsville, GA, Robert Tyler and his wife Kelley of Canton, Maurice Tyler of Ware Shoals, SC and Lori Tyler of Nashville, TN, 4 great-grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Camille and Nathan Tyler, 5 nephews, 7 nieces and many great-nephews and great-nieces.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2004 at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Reverend Darrell Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Wells Funeral Homes of Canton. At other times, the family will be at Beulah's home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, Home Health Building, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
