Beverely Covington

Waynesville, Beverly Jo Holloway Covington, 68 of Bedford, formally of Waynesville, NC, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born August 5, 1940 in Asheville, NC a daughter of the late Virgil Lee Holloway and Frances Margaret Woodson Holloway. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lee Holloway. Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Richard C. Covington; two daughters, Lori Covington Sorensen and her husband, Donald of Wilmington, NC and Francy Allison Mann and her husband, Steve, of Willow Springs, NC; a grandson, Zebulon Coleman Mann; a sister, Anne Holloway Underwood of Raleigh, NC; one sister-in-law, Rebecca Carolyn Hunter, and her husband, Bill of Memphis, TN; three nieces, Heather Underwood Ashe and her husband, Kenneth of Raleigh, NC; Anne Taylor Underwood of Raleigh, NC and Carla Holloway Tange and her husband, Matthew of Newark, Delaware; step-mother, Nell P. Holloway of Waynesville, NC; and a very special friend, Bonnie Jean Sutton of Waynesville, NC. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home chapel in Waynesville, NC. Burial will follow in Garrett- Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Cancer Care, 2013 S. Jefferson St., 2nd Floor, Roanoke, VA 24014. The family will receive friends on Wednesday night at their home in Bedford, VA and a formal visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville, NC. from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m.
