Bill Duckett

Bill Thomas Duckett, 65, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2013 with his family beside him. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of Thomas Harrison Duckett and Myrtle Price Duckett. He was a graduate of Owen High School, attended AB Tech, and served in the Army and Reserves for several years. Bill had been employed by Taylor Instrument Company and retired from Phillip Manufacturing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Duckett and wife, Dorothy Dale Duckett; grandmother, Bertie Hipps Mull; grandparents, John and Bertie Duckett; and great grandparents, John and Sally Hipps.
He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Price Duckett; son, Robert Thomas Duckett of Raleigh; grandson, Madison Robert Duckett of Asheville; step-daughter, Nicole Tyson of South Carolina special friends, James and Brenda Atkins and several first cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, February 25th in the Moore Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, with Rev. Jimmy Moore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Honorary Pallbearers include, Phil Henry, James Atkins, Brian Boatright and members of First Monday Breakfast Group.
