Billie Davis

Waynesville, Billie Louise Bryson Davis, age 84, passed away on Thursday, December 04, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Winford and Ninnie McElroy Bryson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carlyle Davis, who died in 1999; three sisters, Edna Davis, Ila Lepely, and Jessie Humphrey; and one brother, Mack Bryson. She was a retired inspector from the Dayco Corporation and was an active member of Crabtree Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Davis Carter and her husband, Bob, of Asheville; five sisters, Ruby Green, Lois Pippin, Sally Kate Phillips and her husband, Howard, Pansy Reeves and her husband, Ted, all of Waynesville, and Susie Richardson and her husband, Jack, of Chattanooga, TN; one brother, Duane Bryson and his wife, Vivian, of Waynesville; and two grandchildren, Katie Santos and her husband, Corey, of Boston and Caroline Carter of New York City; a brother-in-law, Joseph C. Davis; and a sister-in-law, Juanita Bryson. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Crabtree Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Reeves and Reverend Ted Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times, family will be at 107 Sims Circle. Memorials may be given to Crabtree Baptist Church or Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 480 Crabtree Church Road, Clyde, NC 28721
