Billie Lewis

Billie Poteet Lewis, age 59, died Friday, March 14, 2008 at John F. Keever Solace Center. She was a native of Wayne County, Michigan and a daughter of the late Dorothy Hall Poteet. Billie was also preceded in death by a son, David William Lewis. She was a computer operator for Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Michigan but worked as a supervisor for Shoney's Restaurant in Enka. Billie was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed doing crafts. She was a member of the Church of Christ and loved her poodles, Percy and Shelley, very much. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, David K. Lewis; father and step-mother, Sam R. and Sandra Carol Poteet of Gainesboro, TN; one step-son, Lewis M. Lewis of Canton; and one brother, Dennis Poteet of St. Petersburg Fl. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Reverend Milton Hollifield officiating.
