Billie Turner

Waynesville, Billie Calhoun Turner, age 87, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010 at her residence. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Callie Mae Pruett Calhoun. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert W. Turner; six sisters, Minnie Nuckolls, Kate Lowe, Ruth Stanelli, Myrtle Smalley, Mary Panchelli and Dorthy Turner; three brothers, Paul, Joe and Sam Calhoun. She worked many years as her husband's dental assistant in Waynesboro, VA and Waynesville, NC. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesville and loved to play bridge. She is survived by two sons, James T. Turner and his wife Judy of Cincinnati, OH; Dr. John F. Turner and his wife Marilyn of Milton, PA; one daughter, Billie Rich and her husband Tony of Waynesville; one brother, Don Calhoun of Waynesville; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
