Billy Bryant

Waynesville- Billy Ernest Bryant - age 68 died Monday, October 24, 2005 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was a son of the late W.G. and Media Keener Bryant. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Betty McInnis, Pearl West, Ethel Smith and Hermie Hendrix. Mr. Bryant retired from Champion International in 1993 with 35 years of service. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He is survived by his ex-wife, Freda Bryant of Canton; two sons, Billy Bryant and his wife Kimberly of Knoxville, TN and Bobby Bryant of Canton; four grandchildren, Taylor and Zane Bryant, Nicholas and Allison Bryant and several nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2005 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Freda Bryant, 514 Champion Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
