Blanche Leming

Waynesville-Blanche Leming, age 85, died on Sunday May 20, 2007 at the Solace Center in Asheville. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Robert "Ump" and Dora McElroy White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Venson Leming, who died in 1990 and a grandson, Adam Price. Blanche attended Blanton's Business College and later worked in the Textile Inspection Department of Dayco, retiring with 28 years of service. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and loved to sew. She was a strong woman of faith and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, DeAnna Price, and a son, Bobby Leming, both of Waynesville; six grandchildren; Julia, Christopher, and Tony Price, Kyle and Brian Leming, and Cindy Long; and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverend Millard Grant, Reverend Ted Reeves, and Reverend Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony and Ralph Price, Johnny Bruce Ferguson, Harrison Inman, Tony Long, and Johnny McElroy. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brian and Kyle Leming.
