Canton, North Carolina - Blanche Jones Lindsay - age 87 died Monday, November 7, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center, Clyde, North Carolina. She was a native of Elberton, Georgia but had resided in Canton for a few years and was a daughter of the late James Andrew and Louise Missouri Bell Jones. Mrs. Lindsay was a retired public school teacher where she taught in Georgia for 43 years. She was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church in Elberton, Ga. She is survived by a son, Michael and his wife, Deborah Bradford Lindsay of Clemmons, NC; one grandson, Jason Lindsay of Clemmons, NC; one granddaughter, Laura Lindsay Brown of Winston Salem, NC; two great-grandsons, Kaleb and Myles Brown of Winston Salem, NC; two nephews, Kim Jones of Elberton, Ga. and Jimmy Riley of Atlanta, Ga.; three nieces, Becky Bouchillon of Anderson, SC, Beverly Hays of Cleveland, TN and Connie Long of Charleston, SC. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Elberton First United Methodist Church in Elberton, Georgia. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 6th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
