Blanche Norris

"Loving Mother & Mamaw" Canton – Blanche Lorraine Bolden Norris, 82, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of Dillie and Gussie Day Bolden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Norris, who died in 2003; and five brothers, Hugh, Fred, Earl, Guy, and Ray Bolden. Blanche was a very fair and selfless person. She was very active and enjoyed traveling and many camping trips with her family. Blanche was talented with crafts, especially sewing where she hand made many of the costumes for performers at Ghost Town. She worked at BASF and Haywood Christian Ministry and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Wayne Howell, Dale and Mike Treadway, Debbie and Mike Crawford, all of Canton and Sandy and Mike Roberts of Candler; six grandchildren, Todd Howell (Brandi), Shane Treadway (Danielle), Josh Treadway, Brandon Crawford (Brittainy), Adrienne Crawford Hughes (Jason), and Nicole Roberts; six great-grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, and Sarah Howell, Jessa Treadway, Jase Hughes, and Maddox Crawford. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 5, 2017 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dan Page officiating. Burial will follow at New Cruso Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
