Bob Bowman

"1943 – 2016" Canton – James Robert "Bob" Bowman, 73, passed away on Sunday, December 04, 2016 at his residence. A native of Andrews, he was a son of the late Robert Lee and Ollie Faye Davis Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and John Bowman. Bob was a United States Marine veteran from 1963 until 1967 serving in Vietnam from 1965 until 1967. He retired from Blue Ridge Paper Company in 2010 with 42 years of service and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Harbin Bowman; two daughters, Leeanne Bowman-Hranek of Canton and Kelli Bowman Pupo and husband, Frank, of Eagle River, Alaska; two sisters, Mary Ledbetter of Winder, Georgia and Jane Rogers of Canton; and five grandchildren, Michael Singleton and wife Bree, Kelsie, Madison, and Tanner Hranek, and Francesca Pupo. Private services were held with military honors conducted by the United States Marine Corp.
