Bobbie Merritt

Waynesville-Bobbie Ann Hendricks Merritt, age 73, of 39 Rhonda Road, died Saturday, August 20, 2005 at her residence. She was a native of Haywood County and the daughter of the late John Henry and Clara Ridley Hendricks. She was preceded in death by her three brothers. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading and going to yard sales. She was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband Daniel D. Merritt, Sr. of 40 years; five daughters, Sharon Ford and her husband Albert, of Bensalem, PA, Kathy Hiles, of Anchorage, AK, Holly Owens and her husband Jimmy, of Waynesville, Daneen Hollingsworth and her husband Marlin, of Waynesville and Diane Hymer and her husband Rick, of Monroeville, NJ; four sons, Marshall Sheets and his wife Donna, of Alpharetta, GA, Michael Sheets, of Bridgeton, NJ, S. Lee Sheets and his wife Danielle, of Newark, DE and Daniel D. Merritt, Jr., of Waynesville; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Scott Hendrix and Paul Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Paul, Al and Kyle Ford, Jimmy Owens, Martin Hollingsworth and Danny Merritt, Jr. Memorials may be made to Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 931, Waynesville, NC 28786.
