Bobbie Pilkington

Waynesville-Bobbie A. Pilkington, age 64, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Smoky Mountain Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Haywood and was the daughter of the late Holland and Cora Putnam Pilkington. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Jean Beasley, Glenda Gail Murray and Myrna Dale Trull. Bobbie was a member of Center Pigeon Baptist Church and worked at Haywood Vocational Opportunities and Meal On Wheels. She loved to sew, cook, shop, make dolls and quilts. She is survived by five sisters, Betty McFalls of Waynesville, Maribelle Williams of Bethel, Alice Pilkey and Sue Dail of Elizabethton, TN and Cathy Suttles of Hendersonville; two brothers, Jimmy D. Pilkington of Columbia, KY and Sam Watkins of Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Center Pigeon Baptist Church with Reverend Allen Blanton officiating. Burial will follow at the Center Pigeon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
