Bobbie Stevenson

October 28, 1929 — April 9, 2013

Lake Junaluska, Bobbie Ruth Hogan Stevenson, age 83, of Castle Creek Drive, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013 at MedWest Haywood. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Oberia Crawford Hogan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd H. Stevenson, who died in 2009; two sisters, Christine Harrell and Maxie Furness; and one brother, Harry Hogan. Bobbie was a graduate of Crabtree-Ironduff High School and Blanton's Business College with a degree in Secretarial Science. She was employed by Haywood County School System for twenty years as an administrative assistant and retired from Haywood Community College in 1990. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clyde. She is survived by a son, Tim Stevenson, of Waynesville and one brother, Colonel Jack Hogan and his wife, Polly, of Tampa. Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Dr.T. David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be John Smith, Sr., Earl Dickert, John Smith, Jr., Jason Smith, Keith Stevenson, and Jason Greene. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Clyde, P.O.
