Bobby Burch

Clyde, Harold Lloyd "Bobby" Burch, 89, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Vasar Downey and Mae Stevenson Burch. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Johnson Burch, who died in 1997. He retired from Champion International after working as an electrician for over 40 years. He was a lifelong and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Clyde. His church and family were very important to him as was his perfectly manicured yard, working puzzles and traveling. He is survived by his second wife of 12 years, Bobbie Jean Gentry Burch; a daughter, Sherry B. Hambrick of Asheville; a sister, Norma B. Sellars of Canton; a twin brother, Carroll "Billy" Burch of Clyde; and a brother, Linden Burch of Clyde; a stepson, David Gentry and step daughter, Donna Arrington and their spouses; six granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Clyde with the Reverend Dr. T. David Phillips and Reverend Michael Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
