Bobby Hill

Canton-Bobby Dean Hill-41, of the Dutch Cove Community, died Thursday, April 3, 2003 at his residence after a lengthy battle with oral cancer.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was a son of Bobby Lee Hill of Hazelwood and Claudine H. Fish of Waynesville. He was a 1995 graduate of Haywood Community College and was employed by Blue Ridge Paper Products. He was also a member of Dutch Cove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 10 years, Kelly June Hill, one daughter, Tehya Devonne Hill and one son, James Logan Hill; both of the home, two sisters, Mary Jo Parks and Cindy Bryson; both of Canton, two brothers, Jeff Hill of Canton, Anthony Hill of Waynesville and mother-in-law, Yvonne Johnson-Gilbert of Fairview.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003 at Dutch Cove Baptist Church with Reverend Ed Lowder officiating. Burial will follow at Morning Star United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dutch Cove Baptist Church. 4161 Dutch Cove Road, Canton, NC 28716.
