Bobby Martin

Maggie Valley, Bobby Lynn Martin, age 46, of 240 Caldwell Hollow, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the son of Peggy Sutton Martin of Maggie Valley and the late Ira Delmont Martin. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Jess and Jimmie Sutton of Maggie Valley. He was employed by West Construction Company as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley. Bobby loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Crystalyn Newberry Jackson and her husband Clyde, Jr., of Waynesville and Jessica Lynn Martin of Clyde; two sons, Seth Martin of Cherokee and Taylor Austin of Waynesville; two sisters, Pam Martin-Crowe and her husband Josh of Waynesville and Ginger Revis and her husband Kevin of Canton; three grandchildren, Sophia and Sy-eed Jackson and Dillon Palen Martin; nieces and nephews, Chandler and Mary Elizabeth Revis and Green-Lee and Austin Crowe aunts, Martha "Smokey" McMahan and Betty Smith, uncles, Thomas and Jess Sutton. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Reverend Ricky Mason will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of his mother, Peggy Martin.
