Bobby Payne

Candler, Bobby Joe Payne, age 61, of Roy Kent Circle, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Ethel Ledford Payne of Cross Hill, South Carolina and the late Dale Sheffard Payne. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Delores Green Payne; a daughter, Amanda Parker of Canton; one son, Shane Payne, of Candler; three sisters, Betty Ledbetter of Sunset, South Carolina, Teresa Hawthorne of Greenville, South Carolina, and Debra Harper of Cross Hill, South Carolina; two brothers, Kenneth Payne of Pickins, South Carolina and Casey Payne of Brevard, North Carolina; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with his brother, Casey Payne, officiating. Burial will follow at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to services. Memorials may be made to the John F.
