Bobby Pless

Bobby Joe Pless, age 58, of 216 Academy Street, died Friday, September 22, 2006, in Graham County. He was the son of the late James Martin Pless and Hattie Mae Huffman Norris. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Sandford and Clifford Williams. He was a native of Haywood County, an employee of Blue Ridge Paper, having worked there 34 years and he loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lela Summey Pless; three sons, Samuel Pless and his wife Lori, of Lenoir, "Mickey" Michael Pless and his wife, Dawn, of Hickory and Steven Pless and his wife, Angie, of Canton; a sister, Julie Edwards and her husband, Junior, of Rome, GA; two brothers, Hugh Pless and his wife, Linda, of Canton and Reverend Willard Pless and his wife, Pat, of Vernon, AL; and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2006, at Fairmont Baptist Church, in Enka, NC, with the Reverend Harold Webb officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Wells Funeral Home of Canton is serving the family.
