Bobby Presnell

Waynesville, Bobby G. Presnell, age 76, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. Bobby was the son of the late Pless Presnell and Lillie Teaster Presnell and was preceded in death by two brothers Wayne Presnell and Dwight Presnell. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Ferguson Presnell, two sons, Gregory Presnell and wife, Beth, Andy Presnell and wife Debbie, three brothers, Reverend Carl Presnell, Kenneth and Mike Presnell, five grandchildren, Angela Duckett, and husband Brandon, Lauren Buchanan, and husband, Jeremy, Morgan Tripp and husband, David, Danielle Presnell and Logan Presnell, two step-grandchildren, Stephen Akers and wife, Mary Beth, and Amber Freeman and husband, Chad, three great grandchildren and six step-great grandchildren. Bobby was a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church, where he served as deacon for many years. He was well known as a "mighty prayer warrior". He loved his church family and was passionate about his belief in Jesus Christ. He proudly served his country in Fairbanks, Alaska. He retired from Dayco after 25 years. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Road Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with the Revs. John Swanger III and J. D. Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Dawn Memory Gardens with military services conducted by VFW Post 5202 and American Legion Post 47. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Logan Presnell, Shannon Presnell, Adrian Presnell, Martin Clark, Larry Davis, Brandon Duckett, Jeremy Buchanan, and David Tripp. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Calvary Road Baptist Church, Bobby's Sunday School Class, Johnny Hill, Frelo Barker, Jim Nicholson, and Reverend Wayne Willett.
