Bobby Sales

Clyde, Bob Eugene Sales, Sr., age 69, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 11, 2008. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Jonathan E. and Annie Belle Sharp Sales. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Mae Jameson and two brothers, Jonathan E. Sales, Jr. and Jack Sales. He was employed as a rewinder at Champion International for more than 32 years. He was a very active member of Woodland Baptist Church and a member of the Nehemiah Sunday-School Class. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and was a huge Jeff Gordon fan. He is survived by the love of his life, Marie Trantham; two sons, Bo Sales and his wife, Paula, of Knoxville, TN and Bobby "Buck" Sales, Jr. of Canton; one daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Pitts, of Canton; two sisters, Wendell Bennett of Leesburg, FL and Sue Prebeck of Canton; two brothers, Joe Sales of Canton and Roy Sales of Cincinnatti, OH; and three grandchildren, Andrew Mashburn, Josh Sales, and Aaron Mashburn. Other special people in Bob's life were Alan, Sherry, and Clay Trantham; Steve, Andi, and Hannah Trantham; and Charles and Sandra Wood. Memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Woodland Baptist Church with Reverend Alan Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:15 p.m. prior to services at the church. A private memorial graveside service will be held at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
