Bobby Sales, Jr.

Canton, Bobby Eugene Sales, Jr., age 52, of 386 Toronto Trail, passed away on March 28, 2010 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was the son of Carolyn Marcia Peck Sales and the late Bobby Eugene Sales, Sr. He was a self-employed nationally certified iron worker and was extremely dedicated to his work. Bobby was a proud member of the sons of the "Sons of the Confederate Veterans." He had a special love for his two grandchildren, whom he treasured. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tammy Turner Sales; special friend, Jackie Willis Passmore, of Clyde; step-son, Christopher Waller of Ft. Bliss, Texas; step-daughter, Shandy Lee-Ann May and her husband, Cecil, of Waynesville; one brother, George "Bo" Derek Sales and his wife, Paula of Knoxville, Tennessee; one sister, Cindy Hyatt and her husband, Billy, of Sylva; two grandchildren, Terry Kalyn Skylar May and Christopher Dalton Xavier May; nephews, Josh Sales, and Andrew and Aaron Mashburn; and Godson, Thomas Soesbee. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 1010 at Woodland Baptist Church with Reverend Alan Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church and at other times, at the home of his mother, Carolyn Sales, 177 Dewey Avenue, Canton. Memorials may be made to the "Sons of Confederate Veterans", 3041 Rosemeade Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
