Bobby Worley

"1935 – 2015" Canton – Bobby Ray "Petey" Worley, age 80, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Cecil Ray Worley and Hazel Reno Worley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Robinson Worley, who died in January, 2014. "Petey" retired from Champion International with 42 years of service and was a member of Beaverdam United Methodist Church where he was a trustee and worked on the building teams, and singing in the choir. He drove for Young Transportation for 17 years. "Petey" enjoyed farming and farm shows. He was a charter member of the North Canton Fire Department, a member of the Cattleman's Association, and the Ole Smoky Tractor Club. He is survived by one son and his wife, Joe and Keela Worley of Canton; and one grandson and his wife, Cody and Ashley Worley of Canton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2015 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend David Childers and Reverend Steve Phillipi officiating. Burial will follow at Beaverdam Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
