Bonnie Glance

Clyde - Bonnie Stevenson Glance, age 85, of 517 Glance Cove Road, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late James "Jimmy" and Flora Parton Stevenson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Berrong and two brothers, Troy and Homer Stevenson. Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of Crabtree Baptist Church. She had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were an important part of her life. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Carroll Glance; two sons, Calvin Gene Glance and his wife, Margaret of Winston-Salem and Bill Glance and his wife, Teresa of Crabtree; four grandchildren, Jim Glance and his wife, Aleasa, Bryan Glance and his wife, Lisa, Michael Glance, of Crabtree and Kimberly Reams and her husband, Murray of Winston-Salem; six great-grandchildren, Ashton, Shelby, Grace and Grady Glance and Samuel and Emmy Reams and special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 19, 2007 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Gene King officiating. Burial will follow at Upper Crabtree Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
