Bonnie Ledford

Maggie Valley, Bonnie Davis Ledford, age 85, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Memorial Mission Hospital.

A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late Wade and Cora Fisher Davis.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, John D. Ledford; and a brother, Ray Davis.  Bonnie was a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church and sang in the church choir.  She worked at Teague’s Superette for 20+ years and enjoyed visiting with customers as they came into the store.  Bonnie enjoyed canning, gardening, camping, fishing and traveling.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 65 years, J. C. Ledford; two daughters, Sharon Ledford and Kathy Phillips, and her husband, Steve; son, Steve Ledford, and his wife, Lisa; sister, Eva Mae Ledford; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend John H. Swanger, III and Reverend Dr. Bobby Rogers officiating.  Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
