Bonnie Rathbone

Clyde, Bonnie Bell Rathbone, age 96, of Wesley Creek, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mattie Kirkpatrick Rathbone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Amos, Milas, Jimmy and Dolman Rathbone and one sister, Georgia Rathbone. Bonnie enjoyed gardening, quilting and talking with family and friends. She was the oldest living member of Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister, Fannie Ledford of Canton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Moore and Major Jean Frese officiating. Burial will follow in Fines Creek Memorial Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott, Randy, Larry and James Allen Rathbone, and William and Gene Sutton. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. At other times the family will be at the residence of Dennis Rathbone, 1732 Fines Creek Road, Clyde.
