Boyd Meadows

Waynesville, Boyd Lee Meadows, age 60, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Brian Center. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Elbert Fred and Jessie Lee Meadows. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Elbert Meadows, Jr. and two half brothers, Fred and Dennis Meadows. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. Boyd was a friend to many and a very hard worker who was always available to help anyone in need. He is survived by one son, Robbie, and three daughters, Christy, Shelly, and Brenda Meadows; three sisters, Beulah Rathbone, of Clyde, Mary Ruth Singleton, of Lake Junaluska, and Wanda Wright, of Hickory; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2009 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Pullin and Reverend Rhonda Haney officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
