Brenda Hensley

Waynesville, Brenda Lee Hensley, age 49, of the Hyatt Creek Community, passed away at her residence after an extended illness on Monday, March 24, 2008. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Paul David and Joyce Marie Green Lee. She enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, gardening, and flowers, and especially loved to cook. She was a very devoted wife and loving mother and was a member of Hyatt Creek Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 31 years, Noel Hensley; two sons, J.R. Hensley and his fiancé, Cassie Shook and Jeremy Hensley; one daughter, Crystal Hensley and her fiancé, David Young; two sisters, Diane Pressley and her husband, Ralph, and Donna Messer and her husband, Phil; one brother, Rocky Lee and his wife, Zelva, all of Waynesville; one niece, Emily Lee; one nephew, Preston Messer; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Coates officiating.
