Brenda Wilson

1944-2016 Candler - Brenda Gosnell Wilson, age 71, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Cletus Gosnell. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Smith. Brenda and her husband, Tom enjoyed building houses and traveling across America. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her mother, Mildred Bailey Gosnell of Candler; her husband of 53 years, Thomas "Tom" Edward Wilson; three daughters, Dorothy Williams (Scott), Leslie LeAnne Wilson and Michelle Jackson (Danny) all of Candler; a sister, Myra Cagle (Johnny) of Candler; five grandchildren, Haley Wilson, Jeremy Williams, Ashley McMahon (Nick), Danny Jackson, Jr., and Daylan Rice; and three great-grandchildren, Madison, Brayden and Kennedy. A celebration of Brenda's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Tom and Brenda at 49 Snow Hill Church Road, Candler, NC.
