Bruce Seeley

Bruce Darel Seeley, age 83, of Seeley Drive went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the son of the late George Mitchell and Beulah Holtzclaw Seeley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Seeley and a sister, Ernestine Sprinkle and a grandson, James David Wright. He retired from Champion International with 40 years of service as a boiler engineer. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley where he was a deacon and Sunday School teacher and previous youth leader and superintendent. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family. He was United States Air Force veteran serving in the 410th Bomb Group. Bruce was a mountain man who loved his country and his church. In addition to his wife of 58 years, Nellie Hall Seeley, he is survived by a stepson, Terry Wright and his wife, Kathy of Canton; a sister Lillian Pajunas of Portland, OR; a brother, Ray Seeley of Canton; a grandson, Gary Wright; two great-granddaughters, Lauren and Anna Wright; a special niece, Lori Cope; several nieces and nephews and their dear friend, Zadia Mangum. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2005 at First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley with the Reverend Milton Hollifield, Reverend Ricky Mason and Reverend Dr. Charles B. Sojack officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wells Funeral Home in Canton. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Pallbearers will be James and John Wagner, Bill Thompson, Ed Young, Frank Mangum and Brent Cope. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons and their wives of Maggie Valley First Baptist Church . Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley, P. O.
