Bryan Barnett

April 3, 1968 — January 10, 2017

Weaverville, Sammy Bryan Barnett, 48, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at his home. A native of Haywood County, he was a resident of Weaverville. He was the son of Sam and Jane Hunter Barnett. Bryan was a graduate of Tuscola High School and attended North Carolina State University and was also a graduate of Haywood Community College. He was an engineer and maintenance supervisor at Continental Automotive for 25 years. Bryan loved fishing, hunting and woodworking and was an avid fan of University of Alabama football. He was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Bryan is survived by his wife of 17 years, Pamela Lankford Barnett; a daughter, Ashley Eskew (Ed Moody) of Candler; a son, Adrian Eskew (Amber) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Owen, Katelyn, Brielle, Finnegan and Grant; and his mother and father-in-law, Verl and Judyth Emrick of Clermont, Florida. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Swanger and Reverend Patrick Womack officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
