Bunyan Collins

Waynesville-Bunyan C. "B.C." Collins, age 86, formerly of Allen's Creek, died Friday, January 7, 2005 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Madison County and had resided in Haywood County for 71 years. He was the son of the late Hobert and Nellie Fisher Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy May Dailey Collins, who died in 1992; and by two brothers, Howard and Glen Collins. He and his wife were the owners and operators of The Bird Cage for 26 years. He was a member of Allen's Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida. He is survived by his son, Bill Collins and his wife, Elizabeth of Cleveland, NC; two sisters, Mary Hugo and Mildred Caldwell; one brother, Hobert "Wick" Collins, all of Waynesville; two grandchildren, Linda Wood and Lisa Collins; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with the Reverends Lloyd Fish and Rex Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2005, at the funeral home.
