Burdell Wyatt

April 12, 1924 — November 1, 2003

Waynesville-Burdell Riddle Wyatt, age 79, of 24 Solomon Street, died Saturday, November 1, 2003 at her residence.

She was a native of Macon County having lived most of her life in Haywood County. She was the daughter of the late Nannie Riddle. She was preceded in death by her husband Randolph R. Wyatt, who died in 1985; and by a brother, James Harley Riddle. She was a retired LPN from the Haywood County Hospital.

She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Southerland and her husband, Bob of Clyde; two grandsons and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at the Liberty Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Reverend Jerry Nelson, Reverend Ernest Messer, and Reverend Millard Grant will officiate. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2003 at Wells Funeral Home in Waynesville. At other times, the family will be at the home of the daughter, 101 Sellers Road, Clyde.

The pallbearers will be Bobby, Frank, and Tyler Southerland, Steve Worley, and Jeremy and Tim Messer.
