Caleb James Fish, a cherished member of Haywood County community, passed away at his home on Friday, March 15, 2024, after a strong and courageous fight with colon cancer. He was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Caleb was born on March 3, 1992, in Haywood County, North Carolina, where he spent his entire life. He was a graduate of Pisgah High School's class of 2010. Caleb's passion for music and cars shone brightly in his life. He showcased his talent as a bass player in the band Avyntra and shared his love for cars with family, friends, and especially his father.
In his passing, Caleb was surrounded by the love of family who had gone before him into eternal rest. He joins his paternal great-grandfather, James Fish; paternal great-grandparents, Arlis and Minnie Summey; special great aunt, Barbara Ann Jones; maternal great-grandparents, John and Faye Ewart; and maternal great-grandmother, Ruth Justice.
Those who will continue to cherish Caleb's memory include his devoted wife, Kaitlin Weaver Fish of Canton; loving parents, Stephen and Lisa Fish of Canton, Sharon Ryan of Sylva, and Brock and Barbara Weaver of Valdese; brothers, Colton and Danielle Fish, of Canton, Landon Robinson of Canton, Braedon Robinson of Canton, and Alex and Logan Weaver, of Valdese; paternal grandparents, Jerry and Reva Fish; maternal grandparents, Carl and Saralyn Southerland; paternal great-grandmother, Bessie Fish; two nieces, Parker and Reece Weaver; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
A Memorial Service to honor Caleb's life will be held at 1:00 pm at Dutch Cove Baptist Church in Canton on Saturday, March 23, 2024. The service will be a time for family and friends to come together to celebrate the impact Caleb made during his time on earth. A visitation will follow the Memorial Service at the church.
Caleb will be remembered for his kind heart, quick wit, ability to make others laugh, and unwavering love for those around him. May his soul rest in peace as his memory lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
