Calvin Taylor

Asheville-Calvin Coolidge Taylor-age 81, died Monday, February 21, 2005 at St. Joseph's campus of Mission Hospitals. He was a son of the late Hardin Clyde and Lillian Bradley Taylor and was a 1950 graduate of Clemson University with a M.S. degree. He was employed by the United States E.P.A. as an economist and was a member of Biltmore United Methodist Church. Mr. Taylor was also a Navy Veteran of World War II in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife, Anne Wells Taylor; one daughter, Anna Lisa Taylor of Dacula, Ga.; one son Thomas Calvin Taylor of Hilton Head, SC; one sister, Ann Brashier of Fountain Inn, SC; four brothers, Dave Taylor of Mauldin, SC, Robert Taylor of Greenville, SC, Fred Taylor of Woodlands, GA, and Sgt. Atlas Taylor of Altoona, Fl; three grandchildren, Matthew, Cameron and Caroline Taylor. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 24, 2005 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Reverend Ashley Crowder Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 1:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to Biltmore United Methodist Church, 376 Hendersonville Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
