Carl Presnell

Waynesville, Reverend Carl J. Presnell, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 08, 2014 at the Elizabeth House in Hendersonville. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Pless and Lilly Teaster Presnell and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dwight, Bobby and Wayne Presnell. Reverend Carl served the Lord for 44 years and was a member of East Waynesville Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Wyatt Presnell; two daughters, Sherry Harpe and her husband, Steve, of Waynesville and Teresa Presnell of Hendersonville; two brothers, Michael Presnell and his wife, Kathy, and Kenneth Presnell and his wife, Jenny, all of Waynesville; three granddaughters, Stephanie Gold and her husband, Chasen, Paige Harpe, Lana Jones and her fiancé, Stephan Henderson; and one great-grandson, Kai Gold. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Allens Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Ricky Mason, Reverend Billy Ferguson and Reverend Eddie Deitz officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hendersonville Worship Ministry, 312 Fifth Avenue West, Hendersonville, NC 28739
