Carleen Duckett

Clyde – Carleen Trull Duckett, 85, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at CarePartners Hospice in Asheville.

A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Eldon and Leola Cathey Trull.  She was also preceded in death by six siblings.  Carleen was a very active member of Crestview Baptist Church.  She loved her family unconditionally and led her life to serve as a wonderful example for generations to come.

Carleen is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bobby Dan Duckett, of Clyde; two sons, James Duckett and Wendy of Clyde and Darrell Duckett and Sharon of Beech Island, South Carolina; a grandson, Brandon Duckett and five granddaughters, Carla and Ryan Gibson, Krystle Duckett, Ashley and Matt Rice, Morgan and Caleb Fouts and Sterling and Riley Jones; and 10 great-grandchildren, Eric, Kenzie, Peyton, Emma, Makinley, Gracie, Cassidy, Branson, Mathias and Brynlee.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Crestview Baptist Church with the Reverend Dan Page officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
