Carol Crosby

Waynesville, Carol Ann Bush Crosby, age 73, of 122 Coyote Hollow Road, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at her home. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, she had resided in Haywood County for the past five years. She was the daughter of Charles and Carrie Johnson Bush. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Richard Calvin Crosby, who died in; May, 1997; a son, Wallace "Wally" Lynn Crosby, who died in January, 2005; and one brother, Jimmy Bush. Ann was employed as a nurse for Florida Blood Services for several years, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed playing the organ, gardening and loved her dogs, Mattie and Abbie. She is survived by two sons, Calvin Andrew Crosby and his wife, Kimberly, of Brooksview, Florida and Richard Paul Crosby of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Christopher, Aubrey, Ryan, and Cannon Crosby; and two great grandchildren, Devyn Wyman and Caleb Crosby. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Curlew Hills Memorial Park in Palm Harbor, Florida.
