Caroline Greene

Waynesville, Caroline Marie Eubank Greene of Waynesville, age 48, went to be with the Lord, peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Born in Petersburg, Virginia and raised in Florida, she was the daughter of Kieth Godshalk and Toni LaPierre. She brightened the lives of many as the manager of Peppertree Resort, in Maggie Valley. Caroline lived an extraordinary life, cherishing all the adventures it held. She adored Jonathan Creek, where she photographed the creek life and played with her grandchildren. The Florida lifestyle never left her, as she loved the beach and her flip-flops. Treasured by many, she was a loyal friend, who never knew a stranger. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt gratitude and love to Al Matthews and family, who made the last years of her life an unforgettable journey. Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Richard Greene. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two sons, Jonathan Greene (Kayla), Michael Greene (Laura); her siblings Susan Nielsen (Dane), Doug Eubank (Tammi) and Rosemary Hansen; two grandsons, Jacob and Luke; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Her very first niece Allison Chase, was followed by 16 beloved nieces and nephews. Per Caroline's wishes, a private graveside service was held with Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating. In lieu of flowers it is requested that a donation be made in her honor to Haywood Waterways Association, (Kids in the Creek) P.O.
