Caroline Hill

Canton – Caroline Pressley Hill, 82, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at her residence.

Caroline was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Conway and Glesta Duvall Pressley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bryant Hill, who died in 2005 and a brother, F.M. Gray.  Caroline loved going to picking in the park on Friday evenings, cooking and spending time with family.

She is survived by two daughters, Janice Fisher of Canton, and Sharon Duckett (Darrell) in Beech Island, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Brandon Duckett of Canton and Krystle Duckett of North Augusta, South Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Peyton and Makinley Duckett and Cassidy Kight; four sisters, Virginia Conner, Phyllis Searcy, Judy Banks, and Margaret Jarrell; two brothers, Burton and Roger Pressley; and a special friend, Wayne Henson.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Meadow Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Allen Blanton officiating.  Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

The care of Mrs. Hill has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Homes of Canton.
