Carolyn Clarke

Waynesville-Carolyn C. Clarke, age 58, of Solomon Street, died on Monday, May 9, 2005 at UNC Hospital at Chapel Hill. A native of Haywood County, she was the son of the late Dennis and Helen Moody Caldwell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clarke and a stepbrother, Nobel Hannah. She enjoyed the Haywood County Adult Daycare Program, needlepoint, and doing crafts. She attended Fellowship Baptist Church. She is survived by her stepmother, Edith Caldwell, of Boiling Springs, SC; a daughter, Margaret Ann Sellers, of Waynesville; a son, Scott Lemmons, Kingsport, TN; three sisters, Margie Moody, and her husband, Odis, of Waynesville, Mary Baxter and her husband, Johnny, of Newport, TN, Peggy Roberts and her husband, James, of Waynesville; two stepsisters, Mary Ruth Ward and her husband, Eddie, of Spartanburg, SC, and Juanita Adams and her husband, Junior, of Gastonia; two stepbrothers, Clifford Hannah and his wife, Jenny, of Lowell, NC and Steve Hannah and his wife, Helen, of Gastonia; three grandsons, Thomas Gordy, Curtis Lee Sellers, and David Christopher Sellers; and a best friend, Linda Frazier. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2005 at Fellowship Baptist Church with Reverend James Dale Roberts and Reverend Anthony Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and at other times, at 129 Mill Street. Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Rathbone, Dennis Moody, James Dale Roberts, Tony Roberts, Walter Berry Hill, James Henderson, and Lewis Hannah.
