Carolyn Hall

Clyde, Carolyn Elizabeth Cabe Hall, 77, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at CarePartners Hospice of Asheville where she was surrounded by her family.

A native of Jackson County, she was born October 12, 1945, to the late Rufus Taylor and Hanna Isabelle Buchanan Cabe. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Gunter. Carolyn worked for Hometrust Bank for 27 years as the Senior Accountant. She also was a devoted member of Canton Central United Methodist Church. Cooking, baking, and spending time with family were her favorite things as well as shopping at the farmers market, dinners in Asheville, and scenic drives.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 47 years Ernest “Ernie” Hall whom she met at WPTL radio station; and a daughter, Courtney Hall, of Sylva, NC.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Canton Central United Methodist Church with the Reverend Erin Yow officiating. Burial will follow the service at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the church.
