Carolyn Inman

"October 25, 1940 - November 5, 2017"

Waynesville, Carolyn Thomasine Byrd Inman, 77, left her earthly home to meet her Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She passed quietly and peacefully at Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation in Asheville.

Carolyn was the daughter of the late Frank and Jessie Byrd of Waynesville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Darrell Inman, Sr.; and a grandson, Justin Ted Inman.

Miss Carolyn was a gift, a loving wife, Mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She had many other titles of things she had done in her life but, just being Granny, was the best. She loved God, her family, her church and her community. We will miss her terribly but, Praise God, she is singing once again and hurting no more.

Carolyn is survived by two children, Cindy Mattingly, of Canton and Ted Inman, Jr. and his wife, Audrey, of Canton; three grandchildren, Donnie Mattingly, and his wife, Cameron, of Atlanta, Georgia, Thomas Mattingly, and his wife, Lindsay, of Charlotte, and Kayla Austin, and her husband, Mark, of Waynesville; one great-granddaughter, Millie Austin; three brothers, Jim Byrd, and his wife, Leona, of Brevard, Charlie Byrd, and his wife, Marge, of San Antonio, Texas, and Frank Byrd, and his wife, Cathy, of Canton.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Inman Chapel Cemetery with Reverend Steve Frazier officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Inman Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held in the fellowship hall at Riverside Baptist Church following the Graveside service and all are invited to attend.
