Carolyn Phillips

Maggie Valley, Carolyn Ann Boyes Phillips, age 75, passed away peacefully while under hospice care on Friday, January 29, 2021.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Joseph and Fern Schultz Boyes.  Carolyn happily lived in Haywood County for over 40 years and enjoyed being active in the community.  She volunteered for numerous local causes and fundraisers, many of which were held at the Fines Creek Fire Department.  Carolyn loved to dance, and one of her favorite events was Canton’s Pickin’ in the Park.  A friend to all, Carolyn never met a stranger.  She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Carolyn is survived by her four sons, Shane Robinson, and his wife, Cami, of Mississippi, Joseph Robinson of Maggie Valley, James Robinson of Clyde, and Scott Ybanez, and his wife, Maeve, of Tennessee; a brother, Ralph J. Boyes III; and nine grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
