Carolyn Reid

Clyde-Carolyn J. Reid, age 75, of Willow Tree Lane, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Miami, Fl. and was the daughter of the late Rufus and Hilda Epps Joiner. Mrs. Reid was a medical secretary for 20 years before retiring in 1997. She was a great athlete excelling in all women's sports and was a charter member of the Haywood Regional Health and Fitness Center. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, George Reid; a daughter, Diane R. Reid of Taylorsville, NC; a sister, Jeanne Hackett, and her husband, Bill of Sebastian, Fl. and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Kenneth M. Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721
