Carolyn Peck Sales

Carolyn Peck Sales, 85, born on February 5, 1939, peacefully departed this life on December 28, 2024, with her loved ones by her side. 

For 25 years, Carolyn worked as a cafeteria worker for the Haywood County School System, where she was known for her warm smile and her ability to make mealtime a special moment for students and staff alike. She was also a proud member of West Canton Baptist Church, where she found strength and comfort in her faith.

Carolyn had a vibrant personality and cherished her surroundings. She took great joy in cultivating her flowers and loved her little dogs. Family meant the world to her; she relished the time spent with her loved ones, often enjoying leisurely rides and celebrating the magic of Christmas. These moments created lasting memories that her family will cherish forever.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hyatt (Billy); her son, Bo Sales (Paula); and her grandchildren, Andrew Mashburn, Arron Mashburn, and Josh Sales. Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren, Raylan, Ryleigh, Bowen, Beckett, and Roan.

Carolyn reunites in spirit with those who preceded her, including her son, Bobby E. Sales, Jr., and her parents, John and Georgia Peck.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery in Clyde, North Carolina. Friends and family are invited to gather to remember Carolyn, who touched the lives of many with her kindness and devotion. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
